University of Music Wuerzburg
The University of Music Wuerzburg is a modern institution of education and professional training with a long tradition. Our entry into the cyber-world allows us to offer information on this website regarding our rich, extensive and diversified studies as well as interesting information about our institution.
To date (Summer Semester, 2010), 597 students are enrolled at our University of Music. Of those students, 27 are originally from countries belonging to the EU and 139 from other countries. In addition, there are 14 visiting students and 74 children and teenagers who are part of our Pre-college Programme for Talented Young People. Seven of them are originally from countries belonging to the EU, six of them were born in non-European countries.
The University consists of three modern buildings, within close proximity of one another. The buildings which house the teaching, research and musical education faculties are close to the downtown area of Würzburg.
The University offers something for every music lover. Numerous public concerts feature performances of young artists as they continue to develop their musical abilities and personalities. Spectators can enjoy wonderful music from Baroque to contemporary, from classical to jazz, and performances from opera to musical theatre.
