Berklee College of MusicBerklee College of Music, baseded in Boston, Massachusetts, is one of the largest independent college of contemporary music in the world. It is primarily known for its jazz and popular music teaching, but it also offers college-level courses in a wide range of contemporary and historic styles, including hip hop, reggae, salsa, rock, heavy metal, and bluegrass, in addition to its traditional jazz courses. It offers degrees in various fields such as composition, contemporary writing and production, film scoring, jazz composition, music business/management, music education, music production and engineering, electronic production and design, music therapy, performance, professional music, and songwriting.

Berklee College of Music doesn’t require ACT or SAT submissions from its applicants. However, the acceptance rate is quite low since it focuses mainly on the audition and the interview processes, as well as the high school academic record for the acceptance criteria. The acceptance rate for the entering class of 2010 is a record-low 30%.
